A little about me...
Hi, I'm Dan!

A flexible and adaptable professional, currently working as a Games Development Lecturer, specialising in teaching games coding, game mathematics and game development

Predominantly, I am a C# guy however I can code in C++ and I also have experience with Kotlin, HTML5, Java, PHP and CSS.
My favourite game has got to be Portal2 and my favourite Author is ,hands down, David Gammell!

Whenever I have the chance, I love to go travelling, I mainly go backpacking in Europe. I have travelled to Switzerland, Spain, Germany, Italy, France. Achieving 'The World Challenge award' completely changed my life as I managed to go to India, which was a breath-taking experience!

I love to Game Jam!
I love it so much I even created a society for it.
Sadly I had to drop the role of secretary of the society after a year, however we met every other week for a Game Jam and worked on side projects on the in-between weeks.
You can see the projects that I have worked on from the society in my 'game jams' section of the 'projects' page.
Frisbee!
After coming to Uni, I have found a love for Frisbee!
I enjoy being part of the team, although I am still not sure if I am picked due to my skill in the sport or simply because I am one of the tallest players you will find playing!!

What's better for the problem solver: a 2D jigsaw puzzle or a 3D puzzle on a wall where you're the pieces?
I climb outside with a society and inside on my own or with some friends. This was another passion found as I joined University.
Instead of a typical placement year, 2 of my mates and I decided to create our own company for a year to create our own indie games. The company was called "Ugly Duck Games"
We decided to create a story driven football simulation game called "Euro journey 2020" which is now on the backburner to my final year at University.
