Emergent AI movement - AI crowding - AI avoidance and attraction
I used an Emergent behaviour algorithm for the rats movement. As this was my first time using rotational movement, I spent a long time on the maths, making sure it was doing the correct thing. The game is more of a tech demo. After I had created the rats, I applied a similar approach to the guards and their 'cone of vision', except instead of moving towards a target, they shoot at the target.
Direct carnivorous rats with your torch in order to escape prison. I made this game in the summer after my first year at University. I loved creating this game because it was something I had never done before and I felt like I was applying all my skills from University into something real.
